We have chosen the image of a pile of stones to represent this campaign under the title "Celebrating God's Faithfulness and Strengthening Ours.” Several times in the Old Testament, God's people built up piles or "heaps" of stones as a witness to God's saving activity. As a church, we can look back at nearly 125 years of God's faithful guidance and provision. We see this campaign as an opportunity to build on the foundation our forebears have laid and to equip ourselves and the next generation for the ministry to which God will lead us. We believe that we will be able to look back at this time and say with Joshua and the elders who built the first heap of stones, "When your children ask their fathers in times to come, 'What do these stones mean?' then you shall let your children know...that the hand of Yahweh is mighty, that you may fear Yahweh your God forever" (Joshua 5:21, 24).
We have been blessed to see God work by His Spirit in significant ways in our congregation, entrusting us with a ministry to a growing number of people. We envision raising funds which will enable us to make changes to our campus in order to better equip us to serve the people we are confident God will continue to bring to Himself and to us. There are 4 major initiatives upon which this campaign will focus.
